Unfortunately, there are too many mediocre managers who are still operating from an outdated perspective that fear is an effective motivator. Make no mistake if you think using fear as a regular motivator of your employees you are moving toward mediocrity. Fear, simply put, is a #stupid tool for leaders. We need to cultivate trust with employees. Trust allows us to align a team toward performance. Fear is destabilizing and destructive to relationships and performance.
