Self Awareness is arguably the most important developmental skill you can enhance. Most authors, coaches and leadership development experts agree and yet few are able to offer practical advice on how to improve yours. In this cast i offer you five approaches to grow your self awareness. By consistently practicing the actions recommended here you will certainly grow in your ability to be aware in every moment. We examine the power of feedback for growing awareness. We also look at the importance of completing a personal inventory of skills and opportunities. Assessments are the third thing you can do. I prefer DiSC and Myers Briggs assessments as personality is reasonably stable aspect of your identity and knowing yours will significantly improve your ability to interact consciously and effectively with others. The fourth area is about growing your mental control using mindful meditation. The final approach is that of reflection. Reflection is the superpower of learning. Developing a practice of consistent reflection you will realize deeper benefits from every interaction. Putting these five practices into action will supercharge your leadership abilities.
